Good Morning,
Just think in two weeks Winter officially arrives, but if
you ask me nobody told the Lord. This world is his creation
and everything in it comes under his subjection.
In this life people often wonder if working a long time
for something they desire is worth it. If we just take a
moment and think about our legacy, you will find out that
your family was hard working. The most important goals
and desires are worth working and waiting for. While
waiting we should stay active: praying, seeking God's
guidance, (and getting organized). Waiting for God to work
does not mean sitting around doing nothing. We must do
what we can, while we can, as long as we don't run ahead of
God.
Just by turning on the television or getting on the internet,
you see how they have created the illusion that people have
to wait only about an hour to solve their problems or get what
they want. Patience is hardest when we need it the most, but
it is the key to achieving our goals. There probably isn't
anything that I can think of harder to do than wait. Whether
we are expecting something good, something bad, or an unknown.
Question, how long have you been waiting for a certain prayer to
be answered? Most of us after a certain length of time we conclude
that what we're waiting for is just not going to happen. The book of
Genesis shares with us that Sarah and Abraham waited 90 years
before the Lord fulfilled his promise to give them a child.
Do you have the wisdom to wait? " Lead me in your truth and
teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I
wait all the day " (Psalm 25:5).
In this life we must show patience we must trust God to give us
patience during those difficult times when we must wait. often
blessings cannot be received unless we go through the trial of waiting.
Often it seems that he isn't answering our prayers or doesn't
understand the urgency of our situation. That kind of thinking implies
that God is not in control or is not fair. But God is worth waiting for.
In the Bible we are told to hope and wait for the Lord because God often
uses waiting to refresh, renew, and teach us. Make good use of your
waiting times by discerning what God may be trying to teach you in them.
                Until next Time...
                        Jim
