" BEING PERSISTENT "

Good Evening All,

Sometimes I just get totally blown away by the Holy Spirit
and often I'm in sudden awe. Today I received a call from a
prayer partner who recently as of three weeks ago relocated to
Indiana. you see I have been ill for the past five days and he
wanted to let me know that I was in his prayers.

He also shared with me that he was trusting in the Lord
as he was going to interviews. I was truly blessed by his
attitude and his faith in God. He shared that their was a
particular interview that he was very excited about. I asked
when he interviewed and I responded yesterday. As I am
aggressive in most areas of my life I prodded him to check back
with them. He said something like I was just their yesterday, I've
always believed that the wheel that squeaks the loudest, gets the
grease but that's me. I believe that either their going to hire him
or not.

Now, I'm reminded of the accounting of the Persistent Widow in
Luke 18:1-8. Jesus says that we are to always pray and not give up.
How often do we give up, maybe to easily even when we hear no. Now,
in the story of the persistent widow, we learn to press on resolutely, as
the widow. She truly was firmly determined with much purpose. I believe
that we must continue to ask the Lord for wisdom, then I believe we will
we will know when to become resolute. More than 15 years ago I interviewed
for a position and I didn't hear back from them in an reasonable amount of time.
They would tell me that the owner made the final decision but he was not
available. To this day I believe that I was prompted by the Lord to call back
daily. Finally a manager told me in order to stop me from all of my calls, and
that I was qualified for the position that it was mine.

JESUS SAYS THAT WE SHOULD PRAY AND NOT TO LOSE HEART...

Until Next Time...

Jim
