" MIRACLE(S) "

Isn't it great that our Lord is still in the Miracle working business? I'm still blown away by the stuff that He does for me, and I'm attempting to make a valiant attempt daily not to take Him for granted. In case you don't believe in Miracles or that they don't still happen, BELIEVE IT. MIRACLE: A Supernatural Event, A Supernatural Intervention by God into the normal and natural course of life. Now Miracles often served as authentication for prophets, Apostles and Others including Jesus as the Messiah and Son Of God. The Merriam - Webster Dictionary defines " Miracles " (N) 1- An extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in Human Affairs 2- An unusual event, thing, or accomplishment: wonder, marvel. Some people think, " If only I could see a Miracle, I could believe in God. " Think back to the Old Testament Exodus 8 when God gave Pharaoh just such an opportunity. When gnats infested Egypt, even the magicians agreed that this was God's work ( " The Finger Of God " ) - but still Pharaoh refused to believe. He was stubborn, and stubbornness can blind a person to the truth. When you rid yourself of stubbornness, you may be surprised by the abundance of the evidence of God's work in your life. Now, in the New Testament in the Bible the Galatians knew that they had received the Holy Spirit when they Believed, not when they obeyed the law. People still feel insecure in their faith, because faith alone seems too easy. People still try to get closer to God by following rules. While certain Disciples, Bible Study, Prayer and Service may help us grow, they must not take the place of The Holy Spirit in us or become ends in themselves. By asking these questions, Paul helped to get the Galatians to focus again on Christ as the foundation of the faith. Until Next Time... Jim,
