" WHAT'S YOUR PURPOSE? "

God's Blessings,

Thanks for stopping by, as I know that there are other things that you can be doing right now. This week we are looking into knowing Our Purpose In Life.

Our "CALLING" from God, as Christians, is to become like Christ. This is a gradual, lifelong process that will be completed when we see Christ face to face. To be " Worthy " of this calling means to want to do what is right and good (as Christ would). We aren't perfect yet, but we're moving in that direction as God works in us. If it's one thing that I've learned is that if we follow God's guidance just as the Israelite's did then we will be alright. When you follow God's guidance, you know you are where God wants you, whether you're moving or staying in one place.

You are physically somewhere right now. Instead of praying, " God, what do you want me to do next? " Ask, " God, what do you want me to do while I'm right here? Direction from God is not just for your next big move. He has purpose in placing you where you are right now.

Begin to understanding God's purpose for your life by discovering what He wants you to do now! Concentrate on finding the special purpose God has for you. How we lose sight of our purpose; Now those of us who have a Personal Relationship with God, we are to worship and to obey the Lord alone.

As Christians we are to influence the world for God. Whatever God has given you to do in the Body of Christ is your means in achieving your purpose. Listen, don't become preoccupied with the things of this world and lose sight of the Lord. We exist only because God has made us, and we have special gifts only because God gave them to us. With God we are something valuable and unique; apart from God we are nothing, and if you try to live without Him, you will be abandoning the purpose for which you were made.

By Reading and heeding the Word, by studying His life on Earth through the Gospels, by being filled with His Spirit, and by doing His work in the world. In this way we will become more like Him.

Until Next Time...
Jim,
