Salutations To You,
How are you fairing out so far this Summer, the past 3-4 days have been cooler below 97'. So that's a Praise God. it's my desire to stay focused and to not take the Lord my God for granted.
He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; The word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day (John 12: 48). Just in case you still are not of the knowledge of Jesus' first visit here on earth, it was not for judgment purposes. His divine purposes was to show us the way to find salvation and ultimately eternal life. Listen folks we should be waiting with great expectations for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. When he comes again, one of his main purposes will be to judge people for how they lived on earth. On the day of judgment those of those who have accepted Jesus and chose to live his way will be raised to eternal life.
" But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed! (52) It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. (53) For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; Our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies. (54) Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this scripture will be fulfilled: " Death is swallowed up in victory. (55) O Death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? " (56) For sin is the sting that results in death, and the Law gives sin its power. (57) But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Just as a loving parent feels rejected when a child rebels, so God feels great rejection when we ignore or neglect him. We should strive to stay close to God rather than see how far we can go before judgment comes. A fool rejects his father's discipline, but he who regards reproof is sensible (Prov. 5:15).
Always turn to the Lord and make your request known to him. Keep in mind that his answer to you just might be, yes, no or just not right now. have you prayed with good intentions, only to have God say no? This is God's way of directing you to a greater purpose in your life. Accepting God's no requires as great a faith as carrying out his yes.
     Until Next Time...
          Jim
